We are gathered here today to pay our final respects to John McCain's integrity.
It died recently - turned a triple somersault, stiffened like an exclamation point, fell to the floor with its tongue hanging out - when the senator told Newsweek magazine, "I never considered myself a maverick."

As a politician he is focussed on getting re-elected and he is moving in the direction of
political wind. The atmosphere against immigration in US has turned toxic in recent years, exactly the very reason why democratic party is not keen on CIR.

Folks,
Got a question on surrendering I-94 when leaving USA. Do we just need to surrender the one issued in POE when coming to USA, or we need to surrender the I-94 that came with I-797 approval notice as well. I'm getting different opinion from different folks, Some say surrender only the White one issued in POE, few say surrender the one attached to I-797 approval notice as well. One friend of my mine, was asked to show the part attached to I-797 when he went for visa stamping and luckily he surrendered only the white one issued in POE and he did not surrender the one attached to I-797, so he had it with him.
Folks, please share your experience on this.

Option 1 should be sufficient even if SR was filed 2-3 days ago. I know lot of people who got InfoPass appt this way

Thanks for your reply. Nah,I didn't because I have read some where that post office doesn't forwarded the mails related to USCIS so I informed the tenants about the mail.

If you travel while I539 is pending, your 539 will be considered abandoned.
Its better to travel anyway if you are planning on it and then apply for visa.
Also do not use friends address. Once you move, you can file for AR-11 online and at that time it gives you an option to link any pending petitions to the address you just changed.

Not sure, I have alot of pencils with different materials and shades and I normally just pick some at random when I draw. lol, but it probally was. I also got some ruler looking thing which I just recently figured out was for shading. :)

I am in the 8th year of H1b and I have been juggling this idea of changing my job because of a sucking work environment. I have Eb3 labor(it was applied in eb3 even though my job required and i had the eb2 experience) approved and 140 approved so can I get 3 year extension by changing my job or do you suggest to first get 3 year extension and then change, in which case will I still get 3 year extension is the question.
After job change can I use old PD ? Can I apply EB2 perm after changing job ?
I know these are testing times for many of us but i will appreciate your ideas and responses.

a couple of comments. i agree with el hacko and jliechty that the front strawberry should be the one in focus. the ones that are in focus are not special and you can't see the entire berry so there is no compelling reason to focus on them. at least the one in the front is whole and big.
you might also want to 'soften' the light and eliminate the hot spots (overexposed) that are on the fruit. there should be more pretty color where you see white. you can use bounce flash or a diffuser to accomplish this and still get the bright look.
adding more attractive texture to the strawberries might be accomplished with some water droplets, especially on the leaves which look kind of dry.
food photography is one of the hardest disciplines but you're doing a great job.

PERM processing for non-audited cases is taking anywhere from 8-12 months these days. Assuming your case does not come under audit, then yes, with premium processing of I-140, you can expect both your Labor/I-140 being approved by Dec 2010 (assuming the 8-12 month PERM processing times still hold good)

1. The title noted on the labor form was "Associate". On the job description letter, is it ok if the title is noted as "Financial Associate Analyst". Plus my labor was approved as IS Manager. Would the "financial" title cause a problem?
2. My lawyer put a very generic sentence as my job description. Does my job experience letter have to have the exact same generic sentence in it? and is it ok if the letter has more duties on it other than the one mentioned on the labor form (i did different stuff at that job, finance, IT, sales etc)
3. My lawyer put the required degree on the labor form as "Computer Science". However; I have a MIS degree. Is that going to be a problem when applying for i140?

Advance Parole is not a requirement to maintain status. AP is used to get back into the country based on a pending 485. If you have a valid H1/H4 and just want to stay with it and get back on H1/H4 that is totally fine. AP is optional in your case.

Hi
I am transferring my H1 to a firm on full time basis(not consulting company, product based). Currently I am on a project with A and I am going to transfer my H1 to B (which is 6 yrs old, american based company). I have pay slips from past 4 months, and I was on bench for 2 months where I didnt get my pasylips. For transfer I gave my past 4 months pay slips.
I have 2 questions here.
1) With company A, my LCA was not accurate. My LCA was of NY state & I am working in NJ.
Will this create any issue for my H1 transfer with company B which is VA and they have got the approved LCA.
2) Will there be any issue with my 2 months pay slips (which are of July & Aug). Right now I have submitted my H1 transfer with past 4 months payslips (Sep,Oct, Nov & Dec).
Please advice, I will really appreciate your suggestions on this ASAP.

My 140 got approved and 485 is in pending state.I have my EAD and also valid H1.
1.Can I add my spouse to my GC status when PD is not current?My spouse is on H1B visa.
2.If I start using EAD, is it still possible to add spouse or I should maintain valid H1 status?

I was in the same boat and I can tell you that you have to pretty much depand on your company attorney. In my case it took 2-3 inch thick stack of documents to prove the relationship of the US company with its foreign subsidiary and if you are trying to get L-1A (multinational executive/manager), it will take another bunch of documents to prove your credibility, your existing status with the company as a manager/executive in the foreign subsidiary, your proposed role in the US company and a lot more. I guess it would be wise for you to let the attorney handle the case as you probably won't have much to do with the whole process. However, the positive news for you is that almost all of the well documented and properly filed L-1 petitions are approved by USCIS, and any experienced immigration attorney won’t have much of a problem getting you approved.:)

This move in visa number is dramatic and not to mention scary. It also has the hint that dates will retrogress in FY2008, there is no way that everyone will be processed by the end of this year.
If I were you I would keep the earliest priority date and not worry about the category its in, but then its just me and my choice :). You can judge yourself.

I would suggest your friend from this company who his trying to fool him even before starting the process.
H1b Can be filed anyday and you friend can start as soon as the H1 gets approved.
