I filed 485 on July 2 2007 through Company 1. I left the Company 1 on July 7 2007. Company 2 had filed for PERM in June that had an approval on July 16 2007. I wana apply for 140/485 through Company 2 (concurrent filing) by this July 2007. Can I have 2 pending 485 application? I dont have the receipt for 1st 485 as it was just filed on July 2.

I think you need to show visa proof when you go to most of the DMVs.
But one of friend renewd his lic(PA DMV) without showing H1 or EAD. He renewed it online.
When I tried to renew my licence online it prompted me that my citizenship requires me to go to DMV local office personally.
Well, if your friend was able to get it renewed online, that mean, he must have got his first DL in PA long time ago and at that time, there was no flag that talked about immigration status like I-94. But at the later stage, DMV started attaching a restriction with H1B and other visa hoders to check the I-94 H1B status etc ...those ppl r still enjoying same setup and ppl like us are going through this whole excercise.

I didnt send the checks,our lawyer did.So,i dont have a clue when they were cashed.
Can any one tell the time between check cleared and Notice issued. My lawyer sent the checks and he will never bother checking his account daily for me. Hence Notice is the only thing i will get.

You should try this option, in one of the immigration lawyer's forum they mentioned about this. If you have this you can get 3 yrs extension, that saves lot of moeny and time. It's worth exploring this option. Please share with us, if you are able to succed with this option.

I had my diploma in Mechanical engineering (3 - Years) and B.E. in mechanical engineering. My job requirements were Bachelor's Degree plus five years experience. I don�t remember evaluations agency name now but I will get that for you tomorrow.

We applied for I-485 in June 2007, our priority date is 10/2002. We applied for EAD after we submitted our I-485 application. The EAD was filed on Jul 25 and it was approved today. I guess the higher fees have improved USCIS's efficiency. I was expecting it to take a few months at least. Good luck to you lot.

I need your input.
My PD was Feb 2006-EB2.
I changed job on June 22nd to another company using EAD. Now the PD has become current for Aug.My old company and the new company are in different cities but it is the same state.
I was planning to apply for AC-21 but i have not gotten consistent pay checks yet. My first check was a partial check. I will have 2 consistent paychecks by Aug 15th.
1) Is it safe to just wait and see if i get a 485 approval without alerting USCIS about my job change?
I am thinking since the job change is very recent they might not know about this job change.
Its not mandatory to file AC21. If at all any RFE for EVL, you can respond at that time with your new job info.
2) If they denied my 485 application for any reason ,can i continue to work while i apply for "reconsidering my 485 application" and file AC-21 with the new company?
My understanding is, till your MTR is approved, you cannot work. Ofcourse, this applies only if you're using EAD based on that i-485. If you're still on H1/other visa or using EAD based on some other I-485, this wont apply to you.
Please advice what you think about this. Basically i am trying to "not rock the boat" and raise suspicion and more RFEs by notifying them about this very recent change.

Can I file EAD/AP for me separately on my own? What are the consequences from my employer if I quit after six months of applying 485 (by that time I would've got my EAD/AP)? Can he reject my 140 and/or 485?
You can apply for EAD at anytime. All you will need is a copy of your I-485 AOS receipt (which I think USCIS will send to you, but I am not sure).
After 6 months (180 days to be exact), your employer cannot revoke I-140 (and hence I-485) if you invoke AC21.
