    I'd do the reverse. I am currently working on EAD so I dont want any issues with being without an EAD for even a day. I'd apply exactly at the 120 day mark. Even if I lose some valdity, its ok.
    As far as AP is concerned, I dont mind if it comes a bit later or even after the previous one has expired.

    3-4 days. These days they are fast on approvals. Best thing is to apply AP within 120 days range and apply EAD when 100 days away from expiry. Atleast you will get 2 years EAD and dont need to pay again.

    These aren't anything special, but I'm dying to post something while I try to make up my mind about what to do about getting my transparencies into the computer.

    All taken with a Kodak DX3500, but I've not figured out how to do my edits in Photoshop without destroying the EXIF. :confused:

    Hello,

    The dept. of labor uses two types of codes, one of which is the SOC code. Yours may be a SOC code (Standard Occupational Classification) or the other one (name I can't remember). If you look at Murthy.com and search for articles on AC21, you'll find information on the two types of codes the DOL uses. The go to the DOL website and do a search for the two types of occupational codes and see which classification system your code matches. Once you access the classification, just look for your number and it should give you a brief description. I did this for my code.

    Isn't it the employer's responsibilty to file new LCA when I was assigned to another project in another state?

    If my employer has not done that for me, then does it still affect my chances of getting my H1 stamped. Means I am not at fault, my employer is.

    My Client due to some reasons unable to offer fulltime position . But they are extending my project bt 2- 2 months . Now they extended till Aug 2009 . My visa is expiring in sep 2009 .

    Should I ask my employer to file extention Now ? or should I file in August ?

    If there is a chance that client will offer fulltime job in next 2 months, consider waiting till aug for h1 extesnion, otherwise file for extension now. CIS may need end client letter for H1 extension.

    My employer after too much of talks is ready to file. But in all the applications he wants to put his address so that he receives the EAD card and AP..He is not ready to put my address. Can he keep my EAD card ?

    Gurus please advise...

    Me and my wife are July 2007 filers. We applied for Ead renwal.
    My wife started her own business and opened a LLC.
    Which means she is using her EAD. But how does the USCIS know that she is using her EAD.
    My question is when she aplied for the business license , she has given her SSN everywhere but how does the agencies know that this particular person is using EAD

    he means he will send out the package (file) on July 2 and it will reach USCIS on July 3. there is no other way to do it

    Folks,
    It is outrageous that NSC is not churning out any post April 2004 approvals for EB2-I. Is any one is taking any actions?
    What can be done?

    If you meant India, there is one case @
    - mytracker23 India EB2 PD 07/24/2004 approved on Aug 07

    If you meant China, there are couple of cases @
    - greencard1234 China EB2 PD 03/25/2005
    - erlizhinian China EB2 PD 03/26/2005
    - evereadyjoe China EB2 PD 11/24/2004

    But one thing is for sure, NSC has more ROW cases processed/approved, TSC is primarily going/approving India.

    I tried to get info. in http://immigrationvoice.org/forum/showthread.php?t=20710, but no one else reported.

    I was hopeful of my case with Aug 2008 visa bulletin, but seeing the rate/pattern of approval @ NSC (post Apr 01, 2004), now I see no hope in Aug/Sep 2008.

    I am working for a american company as a consultant thru a Desi Consultancy for past 6 years. And my H1 also held by the same desi consultancy company. My company filed for new H1 petion and got approved last october. He came to US on last friday (Newark, NJ)and was deported for some reason. I dont know the exact reason. So i have few question. I really appreciate all your help

    1. My H1B is going to expir by Sep 2010 and i sent all the documents to file for H1 extn based on my approved I-140. My company lawer filed for LC and it is still pending. So is it going to affect my H1 extn?

    2. How about my GC process? Does it affect if i apply I-485 when my periorty date become couurent?

    3. What will happen to my company? My employer is stright forward guy. He has all the documention and Tax.

    My employer sent the documents for my H1b extension today to USCIS and they applied it through premium process, can anyone please let me know how many days it will take to get the Receipt notice both in Email and hardcopy?

    My H1b expires on Dec 15th 2010 and if I wont get my receipt notice by than can I stay in US legally or should I have to leave US?

    Please let me know your suggestion.

    Your husband could have answered this question with his 8th year extension in progress. But here it is, once you start working for a company on H1 and they file ur GC starting with LC and if the process is pending for a year then u get automatic extensions going forward. With PERM the LC is getting approved more faster and you should have it within the year. As for H1 to wait until oct 2007 that will be for new H1's if u were already on a h1 before you can convert to one anytime not waiting until oct2007. :)

    You are not supposed to work on EAD until unless it�s renewed that is sure, you can work on H1B for your H1B employer if H1B is not revoked.
    I suggest a attorneys advice on H1B once.
