What does this mean?
On September 10, 2007, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I765 APPLICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION. Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service.
Does it mean that they mailed the letter that it is approved or did they mail the card?

My PD is current for 12 months (from Oct 2007) .
Today i got reply for my June 2008 service request, saying my back ground check is not cleared :mad:
I know from Infopass that my NC is cleared long back.:)
If your PD is not current cant do any thing but PD is current, contact your local congressman.

I opened a service request with USCIS when my I485 was current in 09/08 and i got response saying that still investigation into my background remains open, so the case is not yet ready for decision. I filed my I 485 in August 2005 and in july 2007(then my file was current) also i was told that the background check is still going on.
Now we know that if it has been more than 180 days after we file I485, no need to wait for background check to process the petetion. My intention is to get my file out of this loop by the time PD becomes current. If any one had this issue and got it resolved, please advise me how i can handle it.

Ah, the magical E-Verify solution. If we just required it for everything from getting a job to applying for any kind of government benefit and now qualifying for a mortgage, all would be right with America. In the mean time, innocent Americans are still getting caught in non-confirmation hell. I am a Spanish citizen and I am currently holding an F-1 visa with post-completion OPT that expires in 06/2011. I am working at a company in VA and I got married in Michigan to a US citizen in 09/2010.
My company is offering to sponsor me for an H1B visa in order to continue working here after 06/2011. I am also preparing all the paperwork to apply for a change of status to a green card through marriage (I-130/I-485). Can I submit the green card application at the same time as my company submits the H1B request?
I also have to travel outside the US on 05.2011. I know I would have to ask for advance parole in case of green card application or obtain an H1B visa stamp outside the US if the H1 has been processed. What is the best way to be able to travel abroad in these circumstances?

Hold on there. Why exactly do you need to file EAD and AP now? Once you get 140 and 485 receipt notice, you can apply online yourself. Then you will get your own EAD to your own home.
Then the questions is - would you be able to get a copy 140 and 485 receipt notice from him?
Thinking out loud - Probably you can change the address by calling USCIS or by filing AR-11 (you may need receipt number to do this).

i was trying to take an InfoPass appointment for AP Expedite Proc.
it doesn't give an option for this. anyone did this already? what option did you select?

Can we send the application early, like one week in advance ?

Well, if you forgot to fill the native language thing but signed the form, you don't have to worry about anything. Although the form is incomplete, the officer has no way of knowing for sure that your native alphabet is other than English... You may or may not get an RFE on this later...

Q : Will this affect my ability to travel?
Possibly, if you leave the country prior to the completion of the receipting process and do not have the appropriate travel documents, you may have difficulty returning to the United States.

I'm curious if anyone has got multiple RFEs on their I-485 application. I had an EVL RFE last year and wonder about the chances they'll give that (or any other) RFEs again in future.
Any personal experiences?
By multiple RFE I don't mean many questions in 1 RFE letter. I mean USCIS sends you 1 RFE, receives reply and resumes the case and then at a later point in time sends another RFE on the same application.
No personal experience but based on recent visa bulletin and slow movement prediction going forward I would not be surprised if they send another EVL RFE, especially if your PD is more recent. This is because if and when your PD is approaching to be current, that could take 2, 3 4 or even 5 years. They may ask for EVL again to verify you still have a job offer after 5 years.

Friend of mine had a interview today about 20 min, seems like everything looks good.
The current case for my friend falls under EB3 (2001). But the tricky thing is he filed another case in 2005 in Lulac but he revoked the case.
After interview officer said she needs calrify the Lulac case and background check.
I am wondering if anybody is in similar situation if so your advice will be very valuable.

Now my question is at what stage in my husdband's Green card process, will I be eligible for the visa extension
if 6 years on H1B are over??
If I also file for the green card, I get labor cleared and just in case I lose the job.Then what options I have
for visa extension?If I join another company do I have to have again labor cleared to get additional visa extension
at the completion of 6 year?what happens to priority date,can I use earlier GC filing priority date?

Depends on where you are going and the route you are taking. You have to clarify transit visa issues. Many airlines will require a transit visa if you don't have the green card.
